Three poster abstracts from the 69th Scientific Sessions of the American Diabetes Association (ADA), in New Orleans in June 2009 are reviewed in this edition of Diabetic Hypoglycemia.

They all relate to cardiovascular changes associated with episodes of hypoglycemia. The first describes the effects of hypoglycemia on endothelial function, while the second reports on possible mechanisms that aggravate vascular disease. The third abstract assesses the effects of insulin and hypoglycemia on myocardial blood flow.
