Children With Diabetes, Inc. was founded in 1995 by Jeff Hitchcock, whose daughter developed type 1 diabetes at the age of 2 years. The Children With Diabetes website is a web resource for parents of children with type 1 diabetes and an online diabetes community that allows families dealing with diabetes to share their experiences with other families. The website provides science-based information and practical suggestions from pediatric endocrinologists, certified diabetes educators, nurses, nutritionists, researchers, advocates, and parents of children with diabetes.
