The European Association for the Study of Diabetes (EASD) was founded in Montecatini, Italy in 1965. Its mission is to promote excellence in diabetes care, by encouraging and supporting diabetes research and facilitating the sharing and application of acquired knowledge. EASD’s membership comprises scientists, physicians, laboratory workers, nurses and students with an interest in diabetes and related subjects.
