Impact of severe hypoglycemia on health-related quality of life in people with diabetes

To examine the relationship between between severe hypoglycemia and health-related quality of life in insulin-treated adults, Garber et al performed a post-hoc meta-analysis. Data were included from several large open-label, randomized, treat-to-target, 26- or 52-week clinical trials, in which people with type 1 diabetes (one study) and type 2 diabetes (five studies) were receiving once-daily insulin degludec or insulin glargine.
