Professor Marks discusses the forensic aspects of hypoglycemia and its role in criminal behavior. He highlights how hypoglycemia-related neuroglycopenia can bring people with diabetes into conflict with the law, raising the question of whether a person suffering from neuroglycopenia can formulate the intention to commit an offence. He also outlines the medico-legal relevance of hypoglycemia, and discusses the malicious administration of insulin to induce hypoglycemic coma.
